St Patricks Creek - Upper Reach Revegetation

This project will control rampant weeds along St Patricks Creek and revegetate a 600 metre stretch to re-instate dense riparian vegetation on both banks of the Creek. Indigenous people will be engaged to undertake site preparation, weed control and revegetation works, which will be complemented by a community planting day event. Mixed native tree species will be planted to help re-establish biodiverse riparian habitat and to improve connectivity with upstream plantings. The project will improve creek bank stability, reduce erosion, restore flow capacity, and prevent downstream weed dispersal into agricultural and sensitve environmental areas near the Millaa Millaa falls.
