资源简介:

This article investigates the complex geopolitical processes in Asia Minor and the Near East during the 14th–15th centuries, specifically the rise of the Ottoman Turk state and the factors behind the decline of the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire, based on primary sources and contemporary historiographical analysis. The strategic intellect of the early Ottoman rulers, the marriage diplomacy they employed against rival Turkic beyliks, and their tactical ingenuity in neutralizing Byzantine intrigues are systematically analyzed. Furthermore, the article highlights the "Ghaza" ideology, which served as the foundation of state independence, the geopolitical impact of the Mongol Ilkhanate crisis, the establishment of the Janissary institution and artillery, and the reasons behind the fall of the defense of Constantinople in 1453.
