Study of microbial diversity on aquaculture ecosystem

Vibriosis is a recurrent disease in the aquaculture environment. Monitoring the dynamics of bacterial populations from several compartments is of paramount importance to understand the occurrence of the disease. The water of breeding tanks, the water of inlets and the biofilms on the walls of the tanks were weekly sampled from a rearing seabass farm for seven months. DNA extraction were performed from seawater or biofilms samples. The 16S rRNA genes were sequenced by targeting the V4-V5 hypervariable region using an Illumina MiSeq platform. Totally, 5 runs were realized in paired-end sequencing (2x300pb).
