资源简介:
This dataset contains experimental results from a screening study evaluating ball-milling conditions for ex-situ cotreatment of sugarcane bagasse aimed at enhancing carbohydrate solubilization during fermentation. This is a complementary work step to the paper entitled “Enhanced lignocellulose solubilization via consolidated bioprocessing and ex-situ cotreatment at increased solid loadings”. The study investigates the impact of key milling parameters, including milling time, bead size and composition, bead-to-solids ratio, moisture content, and mill type, on biomass comminution and subsequent fractional solubilization of total carbohydrates (FSTC). Experiments were conducted using two ball-milling devices (Retsch MM500 and MTI SFM-3) under different operational configurations.
The data enable evaluation of process trade-offs between milling intensity and solubilization efficiency, supporting the identification of low-energy, high-performance pretreatment strategies for lignocellulosic bioprocessing. Here are available a spreadsheet containing all of the data generated along with figures, methods and a results and discussion section for these generated results.
