Social Media Sentiment on Food Inflation in Ghana (2022–2025): Twitter and YouTube Comments

This dataset contains <b>3,031 social media comments</b> collected from <b>Twitter and YouTube</b> between <b>January 2022 and June 2025</b>, focusing on public discourse around <b>food inflation, food security, and governance in Ghana</b>. The data were scraped using <b>Instant Data Scraper</b> and <b>YouTube API</b>, then cleaned and preprocessed (tokenization, stopword removal, lemmatization). Each entry includes the original comment text, platform source, timestamp, and computed sentiment polarity scores using <b>VADER</b>. Additionally, topic identifiers from <b>Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA)</b> modeling are provided to capture thematic structures. This dataset supports research in <b>computational social science</b>, <b>economic sentiment analysis</b>, and <b>policy evaluation</b>.
