VPRS 18538 Site and Building Committee

This series consists of minute books of the Site & Building Committee from April 1970 to July 1977. There is also a file of correspondence and documents dated 1972 relating to a proposed new engineering tower, and an image of the architect's model of the proposed Bundoora campus development.The Site & Building Committee of the Preston Institute of Technology (VA 1212) was responsible for the major building projects at the Bundoora site. The Committee oversaw the design and construction of the first buildings of the new campus. Initially the committee was simply called the Building Committee, but changed to Site and Building Committee on 21/7/1970. Another name change happened on 24/2/1977 when it became the Capital Projects Committee.本系列包含1970年4月至1977年7月期间场地与建筑委员会的会议纪要。另存有1972年的一批往来函件与文件，主题为拟建的新工程塔楼，以及拟建本杜拉校区开发项目的建筑师模型影像资料。普雷斯顿理工学院场地与建筑委员会（档案编号VA 1212）负责本杜拉校区的重大建筑工程，统筹新校区首批建筑的设计与施工工作。该委员会最初仅名为建筑委员会，于1970年7月21日更名为场地与建筑委员会；1977年2月24日再次更名，成为基建项目委员会。
