De novo genome assembly and annotation of the allotetraploid cotton Gossypium hirsutum

This record contains the high-quality draft de novo genome assembly of the allotetraploid cotton species, Gossypium hirsutum, comprising 26 chromosomes generated through robust Oxford Nanopore long-read sequencing technologies. The entire computational workflow covering sequence processing, de novo assembly, scaffolding, and consensus polishing was executed within a high-performance computing (HPC) environment to ensure structural accuracy and reliability for downstream evolutionary and functional genomic investigations.
