Groundwater Surface Water Exchange Data for Alder Creek Watershed, Grand River Basin, Ontario

The Alder Creek field observatory was instrumented at select locations within the watershed as part of a study related to groundwater-surface water interactions, or more specifically groundwater discharge. Through data collected using both manual measurements and electronic instruments questions pertaining to the influence of groundwater discharge on surface water quantity and quality were sought to be better understood. Field sites were chosen based on 1) indications of probable groundwater discharge conditions following reconnaissance work in the watershed and 2) where permission was granted by local residents for instrument installation.
