The faecal microbiome of cystic fibrosis patients compared to normal volunteers. Cystic fibrosis faecal microbiomes

We collected 274 faecal microbiomes from cystic fibrosis patients and compared them to each other and a separate cohort of colorectal cancer patients and normal volunteers. By alpha and beta diversity measures, and by examining the common taxa, the cystic fibrosis patients were considerably different to the other cohorts. We also examined the change in cystic fibrosis patients over the course of various treatments.
