Nematostella vectensis Total RNA-seq data from a mesocosm study conducted in a South Carolina estuary

We exposed several Nematostella vectensis male and female clonal lines and knockout lines of immunity genes to a shared natural environment by conducting a mesocosm study. Samples were collected prior to exposure to estuarine water at an initial time point (T0) and at 96 hours (T96) after exposure to natural estuarine water. Mesocosms were deployed at Belle W. Baruch Marine Field Laboratory (Georgetown, South Carolina, US) in August 2023. We completed Total RNA-seq on 3-4 replicates for each line and time point to compare the viromes and host transcriptomics. The Nematostella lines examined include: North Carolina Males and Females, Maine Males and Females, Florida Males and Females, MAVS knockout, OAS knockout, RLRa Knockout, RLRb knockout, RNaseL Knockout and wild type (WT) originally from Maryland.
