This dataset, "Research Progress and Prospects of Heat Transfer Characteristics of High Temperature Heat Pipes with Nanostructured Liquid Absorbing Cores," is used to support the analysis and summary of the impact of nanostructured modified liquid absorbing cores (such as nano coatings/nano structured surfaces, composite porous media, etc.) on the heat transfer performance of high-temperature heat pipes in the review paper. The data mainly comes from the author team's systematic search, screening, and reorganization of publicly published literature, combined with secondary verification and standardization processing during the review writing process. Firstly, data extraction fields are established according to the research object and working conditions (working fluid type, wick structure/material, pore structure characteristics, inclination/direction, heating power or heat flux density range, etc.); Subsequently, numerical information was extracted from the tables, curves, and key parameter paragraphs in the original literature, and unit conversion, symbol and noun specifications were completed (such as standardized dimensions for common quantities such as thermal resistance, heat flux density, temperature, pressure, contact angle, aperture/effective capillary radius, permeability, etc.). Cross checking (cross checking multiple pieces of information in the same literature, comparing with the original figure/table) was used to reduce input errors. The dataset mainly consists of structured tables and chart source data, including: (1) Basic information table of literature and samples: recording literature number/DOI, research methods (experimental/numerical/theoretical), high-temperature heat pipe types and key structural parameters; (2) Performance Index Summary Table: Record the values and conditions of thermal resistance, maximum heat transfer capacity, start-up/steady-state temperature characteristics, heat transfer coefficient, etc. under different operating conditions; (3) Liquid absorbing core structure and surface characteristics table: record parameters such as porosity, permeability, effective capillary radius, contact angle/wettability changes, and measurement or calculation sources; (4) Partial curve data files used for plotting and comparative analysis (digitally extracted from literature figures) and their corresponding explanations. Data errors mainly come from two sources: one is the uncertainty of the original literature experiments/simulations themselves; The second is the reading error caused by the digital extraction of curves.
