The VOT Challenge provides the tracking community with a precise, reproducible framework for comparing short-term and long-term trackers, as well as a universal platform for discussing evaluation and advancements in the field of visual object tracking. Following eight highly successful editions of the VOT Challenge, the 9th Visual Object Tracking Challenge (VOT2021) and its affiliated workshop were held on October 16, 2021, in conjunction with ICCV 2021. The VOT Short-term Tracking Challenge (VOT-ST2021) focuses on scenarios with appearance variations, occlusions and clutter, with objects annotated via segmentation masks. The VOT Short-term Real-time Tracking Challenge (VOT-RT2021) targets robust short-term tracking under time constraints, with objects annotated via segmentation masks. The VOT Long-term Tracking Challenge (VOT-LT2021) addresses robust tracking with target disappearance. The VOT Color and Depth Long-term Tracking Challenge (VOT-RGBD2020) improves LT RGB tracking by leveraging depth information for scenarios with target disappearance.
