Based on the type and specification of rooftop photovoltaic (PV) modules, configure relevant parameters of the electroluminescence (EL) tester, including detection voltage, current, exposure time, and other related settings. Then analyze the defect types and locations of PV modules using the luminescent images captured by the EL tester. This workflow can be applied in two aspects: 1. Defect Handling: For detected defects, timely recording and processing are required. Corresponding treatment measures such as repair or replacement can be adopted based on the defect type and location. The causes of such defects can be classified into two categories: incoming material-related issues and human-induced factors. Although the quality of incoming materials cannot be fully controlled, it is entirely feasible to eliminate such defects by strengthening management across all relevant manufacturing processes, mitigating the impact of human errors, and ensuring that all PV modules pass the EL test 100% before shipment. For rooftop PV systems, rough manual installation during the setup process will also lead to secondary defects. 2. Report Compilation: Organize the test results into a clear, concise and easy-to-understand report that comprehensively records the performance status of the rooftop PV system and the identified problems. This report should enable production teams and management to fully understand the performance of the rooftop PV system and the required improvement measures. Additionally, for rooftop PV products, daily EL detection shall be conducted each month before shipment. Specifically, configure the relevant parameters of the EL tester according to the type and specification of the PV modules, including detection voltage, current, exposure time, detection location, etc., analyze the defect types and locations of the PV modules based on the luminescent images provided by the EL tester, and summarize the daily test results. Through this process, the most prevalent defect type and location in the current month can be statistically identified. Timely recording and processing shall be carried out for these high-proportion defect types and locations, so as to implement targeted treatment measures.
