Data for 'Yachts and marinas as hotspots of coastal risk'

This data set accompanies the article 'Yachts and marinas as hotspots of coastal risk' (Lazarus &amp; Ziros, 2020).<br>This repository includes data on superyacht insurance claims from the Mediterranean, filed between 1987–2017 with Pantaenius Yacht Insurance.<br><br>Table 1 is a .csv file with five columns: (1) the value of the claim filed, in 2012€; (2) the year and (3) month in which the claim was filed; (4) the country in which the damaging incident occurred; and (5) whether the damage was described in the filing as being related to a storm event.<br><br>Table 2 is a .csv file containing the locations of all storm-related claims (1987–2017). The table has two colums: (1) easting, and (2) northing. An entry of (0,0) indicates that no location was provided for that claim. For purposes of data protection, the order in which these locations appear do not correpsond to the order in which storm-related claims appear in Table 1.<br>Table 3 is a .csv file containing the locations of all non-storm-related claims (1987–2017). The table has two colums: (1) easting, and (2) northing. An entry of (0,0) indicates that no location was provided for that claim. For purposes of data protection, the order in which these locations appear do not correpsond to the order in which non-storm-related claims appear in Table 1.
