Time series RNA-Seq of the olfactory epithelia of the mouse

A series of RNA-Seq experiment were conducted to study the transcriptome changes of olfactory sensory neurons during the critical period. We conducted RNA-seq of the olfactory epithelia at P0, P3, P7, P14, and P21 to identify the gene expression changes in the olfactory epithelia. We also performed RNA-Seq experiment of the olfactory epithelia from Kir2.1 transgenic mice at the same time points to understand the effect of neural activity deprivation on the transcriptome. Overall design: For wildtype animal experiment, mouse olfactory epithelia samples from 4 replicates of P0 mice, 3 replicates of P3 mice, 3 replicates of P5 mice, 4 replicates of P7 mice, 3 replicates of P10 mice, 3 replicates of P14 mice, and 3 replicates of P21 mice. For Kir2.1 experiment, 4 replicates of P0 Kir2.1 mice, 3 replicates of P3 Kir2.1 mice, 3 replicates of P5 mice, 4 replicates of P7 Kir2.1 mice, 4 replicates of P10 Kir2.1 mice, 3 replicates of P14 Kir2.1 mice, and 3 replicates of P21 Kir2.1 mice were used.
