Gryllodes sigillatus RNA sequencing

These sequences were generated as part of a project investigating the evolution of sexual conflict in the cricket Gryllodes sigillatus. In this cricket species, male crickets are expected to influence female post-mating behavior and physiology by giving them a nuptial gift in the form of a spermatophylax. Specifically, this project aims to separate the transcriptional responses, induced by feeding on the spermatophylax or by the sperm transfer, in female gut and head tisues.
