SpringerBookToC: Academic eBook Table of Contents Dataset from Springer Link

This dataset contains over 53,000 English academic ebooks from Springer Link, covering natural sciences and humanities. We transformed the originally flattened table of contents into a standardized JSON format and observed that they exhibit a single-layer chapter structure. While most books have both primary (L1: 5, e.g., \Engineering\, \Medicine\) and secondary (L2: 26, e.g., \Environment\, \Life Sciences\) subject classifications, approximately one-third lack consistent L1 annotations. This dataset provides a comprehensive resource for academic content analysis and large-scale topic modeling research.
