资源简介:
Three soil samples from intact cultural deposits at rockshelter site 42IN1342 in the Camp
Creek drainage of Zion National Park, Utah, were floated to recover macrofloral remains. The
prehistoric deposits within the rockshelter have been severely disturbed by looting; however,
intact prehistoric cultural deposits were noted beneath the looters back dirt pile and in an
undisturbed cutbank just outside the rockshelter. Lithic artifacts recovered from the site suggest
a Parowan Fremont occupation. Macrofloral analysis will be used to provide information
concerning plant resources utilized by the occupants of the site.
