To investigated the spatial and temporal changes in VPD and their impacts on maize yield, this dataset records: 1) Basic information of stations in cultivation region for maize in hilly area of South China; 2) Trend in VPD and its effect on yield in cultivation region for maize in hilly area of South China. This dataset is helpful to study response of maize yield to Vapor Pressure Deficit in Southern Hills.
