This statistic shows the leading occupations for women in Sweden in 2016, by number of employees. The majority of female employees worked in assistant nurse, home help, home nursing and geriatric care sector, reaching a number of almost 128 thousand people. That year, there were about 75.8 thousand child minders employed in Sweden and approximately 75.7 thousand elementary school teachers.
