Map and table of world copper smelters

This map and table comprise information on 124 world copper smelters (2 of which are closed and 1 of which is under development) and 4 (low-grade solvent extraction-electrowinning) operations whose product requires further processing to produce refined copper. The map shows the locations of facilities and a color code based on the capacity of the facilities. These data have been compiled from multiple sources and estimates, based upon production and other pertinent information. The data presented in this report can be used with data on annual copper production and on the environmental releases that characterize particular types of processes to estimate environmental residuals from copper production.本地图与表格涵盖全球124座铜冶炼厂（其中2座已关停、1座处于在建阶段）以及4座低品位溶剂萃取-电积（solvent extraction-electrowinning）作业设施的相关信息，此类设施的产品需经进一步加工方可得到精炼铜。本地图标注了各设施的地理位置，并采用基于设施产能的色标体系进行区分。本数据集基于生产及其他相关信息，从多源渠道整合并经估算得到。本报告所载数据可结合年度铜产量数据与特定工艺类型对应的环境排放数据，用于估算铜生产过程产生的环境残留量。
