资源简介:
As a greenhouse gas, methane accounts for 16% of global greenhouse gas emissions. 2-Bromoethane sulfonate (BES) is a structural analogue of coenzyme M (Co-M) and is an effective inhibitor of methane formation. Coenzyme M exists in methanogens, which determines the key step of methane production in the metabolic pathway. Throughout the enzymatic catalysis step, methyl has been used as a fixed group, which is why methyl analogs can be used as substrate competition inhibitors to inhibit methane production. Methyl-Coenzyme M reductase is a key enzyme in the process of methane production. Its structure contains coenzyme F430 (a nickel-containing compound) bound in the form of non-covalent bonds, which can catalyze the reaction of coenzyme M and coenzyme B to form a heterodisulfide bond and methane.
