Recently Corynebacterium ulcerans has been considered distinct from C. diphtheriea. She is capable of causing infectious processes in humans and animals, sometimes fatal. Besides the frames of diphtheria, the micro-organism can cause pharyngitis, pneumonia, lung nodules, granulomatous and skin ulcers.
