BanglaWriting

BanglaWriting是一个多用途的孟加拉语手写数据集，由孟加拉国商业与技术大学创建。该数据集包含260名不同年龄和背景的个体的手写单页，总计21,234个单词和32,787个字符。数据集通过扫描仪和智能手机相机采集，每页手写内容均配有边界框和Unicode表示。BanglaWriting适用于复杂的光学字符/单词识别、作者识别、手写单词分割和生成等任务，特别适合探索基于年龄和性别的手写变化。

BanglaWriting is a versatile handwritten dataset in the Bengali language, developed by Bangladesh University of Business and Technology. It encompasses handwritten single-page samples from 260 individuals across diverse age groups and backgrounds, with an overall count of 21,234 words and 32,787 characters. The dataset was gathered using both scanners and smartphone cameras, where each handwritten page is paired with bounding box annotations and corresponding Unicode transcriptions. BanglaWriting is applicable to a range of tasks including complex optical character/word recognition, writer identification, handwritten word segmentation and generation, and is especially suitable for researching handwritten variations associated with age and gender.
