Flow cytometry data for basophil activation tests to investigate the combination of avidin and CD63 activation markers in diagnosing peanut allergy

The goal of this study was to investigate the combined use of CD63 and avidin activation markers for basophil activation tests (BATs) used to diagnose peanut allergy. Blood samples from subjects with a peanut allergy (PA), with a non-peanut allergy (NotPA), and with no allergy (NA) were analyzed with BATs against peanut extract. Using the percentage of activated basophils on CD63 and avidin as features in a classification model gave improved diagnostic accuracy compared to using either marker alone.
