Main Endeavour Field South Underwater Voltammetric System Deployed 2018-06-27

The SIDSSE Underwater Voltammetry Analyzer (UVA) 01 was deployed on 2018-06-27 at Main Endeavour Field South. Main Endeavour Field South is at the south end of the Main Endeavour Field located along the Endeavour Ridge, where hydrothermal vent systems are observed. This device is a Underwater Voltammetric System. Filtered seawater and reagents are pumped into the voltammetric system through a hydraulic relief system. The current produced from the reaction is measured for the calculation of the concentration of each ion. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
