Velocity data in two sharp bends on the Middle Yangtze River

We have invesitgated the 3D flow field in very large sharp bends of Middle Yangtze River (MYR) based on field measurements. We found that patterns of mean and secondary flows in sharp bends on MYR are similar as in smaller systems, and the reduced-order model of Blanckaert & de Vriend (2003, 2010) can resolve the flow field in river of this size, and thus this mode has been validated over the entire range of scales. The data here show the ADCP measured 3D velocities (X,Y,Z) at ten transects of the sharp bends of TG and ZZZ in the MYR.

本研究基于现场实测数据,对长江中游(Middle Yangtze River, MYR)巨型急弯河段的三维流场展开了系统调研。研究发现,长江中游急弯河段的时均流与次生流场分布形态与小型河湾系统高度相似;Blanckaert与de Vriend(2003、2010)提出的降阶模型可准确解析该尺度河流的流场,因此该模型在全河流尺度范围内得到了有效性验证。本数据集包含长江中游TG与ZZZ急弯河段共10个实测断面处,由声学多普勒流速剖面仪(Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler, ADCP)采集得到的三维流速(X、Y、Z方向)数据。
