Measuring the archaeome: detection and quantification in human body sites

Herein, we evaluate different methodological set-ups to detect and quantify archaea signatures in human samples by amplicon sequencing and quantitative PCR. We used five different sample types to evaluate our protocols (nose, oral, appendix, stool, and skin).
