Likelihood of achieving UN obesity targets among women in Europe by 2025, by country

According to a 2021 report, Latvia and Estonia both have a 20 percent chance of meeting the UN obesity targets for women. Despite this, every country in the EU as well as the UK are deemed to have a very poor chance of reaching the 2025 target set by the United Nations (UN) for halting the rise in obesity. Obesity increases the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). To reduce the burden of NCDs, all the member states of the World Health Assembly had agreed to halt the prevalence of obesity at 2010 levels.
