16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing reads of nasopharyngeal microbiota in children

The V3-V4 region of the bacteria 16S rRNA gene were amplified by PCR (95 C for 2 min, followed by 27 cycles at 95 C for 30 s, 55 C for 30 s, and 72 C for 60 s and a final extension at 72 C for 5 min) using primers 341F and 806R. The products were then purified and SMRTbell sequencing libraries were created, and the purified libraries from the pooled and barcoded samples were sequenced on a single PacBio Sequel II cell at Shanghai Biozeron Biotechnology Co. Ltd (Shanghai, China).
