Data for: Paleomagnetic, rock magnetic and geochemical study of sediments from Boca do Rio (Algarve, Portugal): inference for the emplacement of the 1755 tsunamigenic layer.

The Excel file contain the results of the Paleomagnetic data of 5 U-channels collected in the field. Even if the paper is based on additional data most of the interpretation is focused on the secular variations reconstructed by these results. The file is split in two sheets representing the measurements of the whole-core data (sheet1) and the results calculated by using the principal component analysis (PCA) (Sheet2) In the Sheet 1 for each U-channel the file shows the following data: Sample ID; Relative Depth (cm); Alternating field used for the demagnetization AF (Oe); Magnetic Declination; Magnetic Inclination; Intensity (10-1A/m). Sheet 2 shows: Sample ID; the Relative Depth (cm); Decl PCA (°); Incl PCA (°); MAD (°).本Excel文件包含野外采集的5条U型槽（U-channel）古地磁数据的分析结果。尽管本研究依托额外数据集开展，但绝大多数解译工作均聚焦于通过本次采集数据重建的地磁长期变化（secular variation）。该文件分为两个工作表：工作表1存储全岩芯测量数据，工作表2存储通过主成分分析（PCA）计算得到的结果。在工作表1中，针对每条U型槽，文件包含以下数据字段：样品编号（Sample ID）；相对深度（cm）；退磁用交变场强度（AF，Oe）；磁偏角（Magnetic Declination）；磁倾角（Magnetic Inclination）；磁化强度（10⁻¹ A/m）。工作表2包含以下数据字段：样品编号（Sample ID）；相对深度（cm）；主成分分析磁偏角（Decl PCA，°）；主成分分析磁倾角（Incl PCA，°）；平均角偏差（Mean Angular Deviation, MAD，°）。
