Mapping potential avian influenza spillover and dissemination risks associated with black swans in China

This repository contains the data and R code used to reproduce the spillover-risk and potential pandemic-risk analyses presented in the associated manuscript on black swans (Cygnus atratus) in China. The archive includes: Presence_data.zip: CSV files containing black swan presence records from field surveys, the literature (Liu et al., 2024), and GBIF, together with the filtered occurrence dataset used for SDM development.EMwmean_suitability_CHN_map.tif: A GeoTIFF raster representing the ensemble habitat suitability of free-living black swans in China.gpc_v4_population_density_adjusted_to_2015_unwpp_country_totals_rev11_2020_30_sec.tif: A GeoTIFF raster of human population density used in the risk analyses.black_swan_risk_code(clean).R: An R script for calculating pixel-level viral spillover risk and potential pandemic risk.
