Dataset "Elite Burials of the Late Urnfield Period"

This dataset represents the basis for the network analyses conducted in chapter 3 of the publication "Zwischen Individuum und communitas. Identitätskonstruktion späturnenfelderzeitlicher Eliten im Spiegel funeraler Statusnetzwerke" (Universitätsforsch. Prähist. Arch. 358, Bonn 2021). Through its publication, it allows researchers to reproduce and follow the results described in the publication. Scope of the Dataset The selection criteria for the burials, objects and object types contained in the dataset are described in chapter 2.1 and 3.2 of the publication. Some of the objects types appear in the database but were not included in the analyses (cf. p. 202–203): Keramik (ceramics) Fragment (fragment) Unklare Zuweisung (unclear assignation) Stein (stone) Schwertscheide (scabbard) Rasiermesseretui (sheath of a razor) Messerscheide (sheath of a knife) Parts of the Dataset The dataset forms a graph database that consists of two csv-files (nodesE22.csv, nodesE19.csv) the file importCommands.txt These files form the basis for a neo4j database that can be reconstructed locally. Node labels for burials and objects are given according to the classes E19 Physical Object and E22 Man-Made Object of the CIDOC CRM (http://www.cidoc-crm.org/). Instructions Install the neo4j desktop client (https://neo4j.com/download/?ref=try-neo4j-lp) Create a new project and add a graph Copy both csv-files into the import folder Execute the commands of the file importCommands.txt either in the cypher shell or in the neo4j browser
