资源简介:
These data for washover deposits in the Ria Formosa barrier system, in southern Portugal, accompany the article 'Dynamic allometry in coastal overwash morphology' (Lazarus et al., 2019). Table 1 includes the barrier name, an indexing code (per barrier), image year, two washover feature IDs (for tracking individual features between images, washover area (m2), and washover length (m). (See Fig. 1 & 2 of the corresponding article.) Table 2 includes the barrier name, an indexing code (per barrier), image year, two washover feature IDs (for tracking individual features between images, washover area (m2), and washover length (m) for a subset of individual deposits that appear in four images (1952, 1976, 1989, 2001). (See Fig. 5 of the corresponding article.) A full description of the physical setting for these deposits is available in: Matias, A., Ferreira, Ó., Vila-Concejo, A., Garcia, T., & Dias, J. A. (2008) Classification of washover dynamics in barrier islands. Geomorphology, 97(3-4), 655–674. See also doi:10.6084/m9.figshare.10259846 for further washover datasets.
