Plant composition and abundance in Mediterranean grasslands, soil nutrient concentration, California, Spain, Spring 2018 and 2019, 0.5 x 0.5 m plots

We collected plant composition and abundance in 60 plots of 0.5 x 0.5 m plots across 4 grasslands in California: UC Santa Cruz, Merced Vernal Pools, La Honda Creek and San Joaquin Experimental Range; and 4 in Spain: Navalagrulla, Montes, Puerto de la Pared and Ventas Quemadas. We also measured soil N, P, C and OM to characterize soil properties of these sites. The purpose was to compare the abundance of European exotic species in their native and introduced regions in Spain and California respectively.
