EU Drone Projects

A dataset of EU projects on drones - also known as unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) funded by the EU during 2014-2024. Projects from different funding programmes have been assembled into a single, harmonised dataset. The dataset comprises over 600 projects with a combined EU contribution of EUR 1.6 billion. The main funding programmes are Horizon 2020, Internal Security Fund (ISFP) and the European Defence Fund (EDF). Each project is accompanied by rich meta data, including ID, acronym, title, objective, keywords, topic, start date and budget. The projects have also been tagged with one or more sub-fields of drone research.
