资源简介:
Porphyromonas gingivalis, a major pathogen associated with chronic periodontitis, is increasingly recognized for its role in the development of systemic diseases. Its extracellular vesicles (EVs), which serve as potent carriers of virulent factors, have the ability to travel distally, thereby contributing to the systemic effects of the infection. Although P. gingivalis EVs have the potential to cause neurodegenerative changes and systemic bone loss, there have been no studies attempting to determine the impact of periodontal pathogens EVs on the neuroregulatory physiological processes of bone metabolism. Therefore, we stimulated HT22 cells with P. gingivalis EVs for 48 hours, collected total RNA, and performed transcriptome sequencing to investigate the mechanism through which EVs affect neuronal cells.
