GSK3 inhibition reduces ECM production and prevents age-related macular degeneration-like pathology

We found that GSK3 inhibition led to reductions in EFEMP1 (fibulin-3, F3, FBLN3), a secreted extracellular matrix (ECM) gene in ARPE-19 cells. To more broadly assess what other genes may be affected by GSK3 inhibition, we treated ARPE-19 cells with 1 uM CHIR99021 for 1 week followed by harvesting, RNA extraction, and RNA-seq.
