Material Characterisation and Testing Experimental Data Set

Polydopamine (PDA) has been recently used as a versatile priming layer for further functionalisation of a biomaterial surface, particularly in biomimetic mineralisation of biomaterials. Yet, most of the existing literature is on inorganic substrates and the underlying effects of the PDA layer coatings on the nucleation and mineralisation process and the mineral-substrate interface have not been clearly identified.

This data set contains the results of material characterisation and its analytical testing of properties and functions.
