TNFa-stimulated gene 6 (TSG-6) is a key molecule for stemness and a predictive marker for biological properties of mesenchymal stem cells

The major aim is to decipher the functional biological activity of TSG6 by transcriptional profiling on mouse Mesenchymal stem cells in the presence and abesence of TSG6. Here, we investigate, by approaching with functional validations of the data set generated by RNA-sequencing data, how the lack of TSG-6 may impact MSCs in terms of their stemness and/or biological, immunomodulatory, tumorigenic properties. In light of this, we identify TSG-6 as a biomarker useful in predicting MSCs biology and efficacy. Overall design: Profiling of the transcriptome of Wildtype and TSG6 knockout MSCs population in mice. Two biological replicates were profiled for each cell type.
