**Study Summary**: This study examines bacterioplankton communities in Laguna Chascomús, a hypertrophic, shallow lake in the Pampa region of Argentina, over a four-year period (June 2012 - July 2016). The lake, characterized by high nutrient levels and continuous mixing, experienced significant environmental events, including a major flood in 2014. Biweekly water samples were collected and environmental parameters monitored, with subsamples analyzed for DNA sequencing to assess bacterioplankton diversity. Water samples were filtered, DNA was extracted, and the 16S rRNA gene was sequenced using the Illumina MiSeq platform. Data processing involved quality filtering, primer removal, and denoising through the DADA2 algorithm, resulting in an Amplicon Sequence Variant (ASV) table with 17,633 unique sequences. Taxonomic assignment was completed using the SILVA database, providing insights into the temporal dynamics and composition of bacterioplankton in this eutrophic lake under varying environmental conditions.
