US weedy rice in a post herbicide-resistance agricultural environment

In this study we sequence 48 whole genomes of US weedy rice collected in Greene County, AR, in the summer of 2018. We attempt to identify hybrid origin of contemporary weedy rice and determine the degree to which, after approximately six generations of selection, one ancestral genome has become over-represented. Furthermore, we look to determine the molecular cause of herbicide resistance in contemporary weedy rice
