KIRD: Korea Immigration & Residential Diversity Dataset (2006–2024)

A harmonized, multi-source longitudinal dataset of foreign residents in South Korea, with derived residential-segregation, ethnic-diversity, ethnic-enclave, and language-access measures at the sigungu (district) level, 2006–2024. Built from the Ministry of Justice Korea Immigration Service Statistical Yearbooks and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety resident-registration population, aligned at the nationality × visa-status × district level and harmonized across years. Registered-foreigner counts reconcile to published official totals within 0.2% every year; staying-foreigner totals within 0.7%. The dataset backs an interactive dashboard of the same name (KIRD).
