Aim of the study was to examine the cardioprotective potential of the soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC) activator riociguat in an in vivo mouse model of chronic pressure overload by transverse aortic constriction (TAC). To determine whether riociguat reverses the molecular changes caused by TAC, the left ventricular gene expression profile of TAC operated mice treated with and without riociguat was analysed by RNA sequencing.
