Housing conditions in rural areas of Tanzania.

main income sources.

2.) Description of housing and equipment: material; plaster and paint;
size; walls; roof; windows; doors; floor; toilet; washing facilities;
use of all buildings, rooms and surrounding areas; location of
preparing meals and cooking; description of eating place; cooking and
fire materials; description of sleeping places; living rooms; sources
and storage of water; fumitory and keeping of clothes; consumer
durables; storage of tools.

3.) Animals: current number of animals and changes during last year,
labourers who help with the animals; gross cash income from sales of
animals and products.

4.) Crops and agricultural activities: area under cultivation; amounts
of crops harvested, consumed and sold; costs; storekeeping and
problems; distribution and takings; number of trees or acreage, year of
latest plantation; labourers in agriculture.

5.) Income and property Situation: sources of income in cash or kind;
kind of business; income during the last year; savings and bank
accounts; loans; money or things borrowed; payments to a pension fund
and amount of savings there; expenditures during the last week.

6.) Establishment of the dwelling and construction of the house: year
of Start and duration of construction work; year of buying the house;
house ownership and possession of other houses; year and procedure of
buying the plot; community or district regulations and considerations
concerning construction; event that determined the beginning of
construction; construction work that has been done by household
members; other people who participated in the construction and work
done by fundis; cost of materials, transportation and fundis; total
costs; actual value of the house when selling or renting it; financing
of construction; repayments which still are to make; problems in
obtaining materials or tools and problems with fundis; way of solving
such problems; estimated durability of house and weak points; repairs,
changes and improvals at the house.
