Survey Data on Social Payments and Family Planning in Kazakhstan (2023–2025)

This dataset contains anonymised individual-level responses from a multi-wave online survey conducted in Kazakhstan in 2023 and 2025 (N = 361). The survey focuses on perceptions of social payments related to pregnancy, childbirth, and early childcare, as well as their role in family planning and decision-making among educated and economically active women. The study involving human participants was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Committee for Scientific Research of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Digital Resource Centre for Research Ethics i-GALYM, Protocol No. 2, dated 29 September 2025. The Committee approved the empirical part of the study, including the use of an anonymous survey format. Participation was voluntary and based on informed consent. The data were processed in aggregated form, and identifying information was not included in the published dataset. The dataset includes variables capturing satisfaction with social payment systems, perceived adequacy of benefits, coverage of child-related expenses, and the perceived importance and motivational effects of social support in reproductive decision-making. The data were collected using a structured questionnaire and subsequently harmonised across waves to ensure comparability. The dataset has been prepared for analytical use through a reproducible workflow including variable harmonisation, standardisation, and consistency checks. It supports research on survey data analysis, structural validation of variables, and decision-support contexts based on survey-derived evidence. This dataset represents a processed analytical subset derived from a broader research project on social policy and family planning in Kazakhstan. It is intended to support the analyses presented in the associated study on data-driven structural validation of survey data. Other studies may use different subsets of the same underlying survey. All data have been fully anonymised. Direct and indirect identifiers have been removed to ensure respondent confidentiality. This version adds an ethics approval statement based on the extract from Protocol No. 2 of the Ethics Committee for Scientific Research of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, dated 29 September 2025. The dataset files remain unchanged. The added document confirms ethical review of the empirical study, voluntary participation, informed consent, anonymity, confidentiality, and the absence of identified ethical risks for participants.
