资源简介:
Natural Systems Analysts, Inc. (NSA) was contracted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to conduct bi-weekly monitoring of Caracara cheriway as part of the Kissimmee River Restoration Project (KRRP). The contracted scope of this work included support for a team of environmental scientists to work under the direction of USACE's Principal Investigator. This individual was charged with the overall responsibility for the project, including analysis and interpretation of collected data in support of the USACE's goals as defined by the KRRP. The tasks assigned to NSA are key components of the KRRP, intended to support construction contracts 10 (Reach 2 Backfill) and 12A (S-69 Weir). Tasks included were caracara survey and spatial data requirements, all described in detail in the Survey Protocol for Finding Caracara Nests, Spatial Data Requirements, and Capture Techniques and Methods for Caracaras by Joan Morrison and Steven McGehee, along with the 2012 KRR BO, and the 2012 Caracara Project Work Plan. Monitoring occurred within a buffer of 600 meters from the construction footprint of contracts 10 and 12A.
