The data set contains the areas planned for the further development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles within the public space of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (FHH). These areas are the basis for the concrete location search by the urban and third operator, who will take over the future expansion. These areas thus offer an overview of the planned expansion of charging infrastructure in the public space of the FHH. The dataset contains different layers: The layer "Development Areas Third Operators - Released Potentials 2024" serves the expansion of the public charging infrastructure until the start of the expansion from the concession procedure. A maximum of four charging points may be set up in the respective expansion areas. The expansion of the expansion areas contained in this layer is carried out on a voluntary basis by third-party operators. Which of the specified expansion areas will actually be realized in the end is therefore not in the hands of the FHH. This layer is also regularly updated to provide an overview of how many charging points have already been applied for in the respective expansion area. The layers "Development Areas Third Operators - Lot 1" to "Development Areas Third Operators - Lot 5" serve to carry out a procurement procedure in which third operators apply for a concession for the respective lot at the FHH. In the procedure, the operators will be obliged from 01.01.2025 the expansion areas (for the charging infrastructure operators: Search rooms) with the specified number of charging points. In addition to the location of the expansion areas, different colours mark an assignment to a lot for the underlying tender procedure, whereby one charging infrastructure operator is responsible for each lot. The "Expansion Areas HEnW Mobil" layer provides an overview of the areas in which charging points are being built by the municipal company Hamburger Energiewerke Mobil GmbH (HEnW Mobil). All layers contain a number of charging points to be built per expansion area as well as a sequential number (index) of the expansion area to ensure better assignability.
