TIEGCM simulation data and DASH observations based on the study of 'Comparative Study of Low-Latitude Thermospheric Winds over Asian Sector from Ground-Based Measurements and Models'

The nighttime monthly average neutral wind data based on the Thermosphere Ionosphere Electrodynamics General Circulation Model (TIEGCM) in Lijiang(26.85°N, 100.22°E) and Sanya(18.34°N, 109.62°E) from November 2023 to September 2025. The grid points closest in latitude and longitude to the observation station at an altitude of 250 km for Lijiang and 300km for Sanya are selected.The outputs were generated in 1-hour interval in 17-7LT. The results with Kp greater than 3 were eliminated to ensure a relatively geomagnetically quiet conditions of the thermospheric neutral winds.The wind observations from February 2024 to September 2025 by Doppler Asymmetric Spatial Heterodyne (DASH) spectrometer in Lijiang. It should be noted that the data for July and September 2024 are not available due to technical issue with the instrument. The observations with Kp greater than 3 were eliminated. A flag value of 0 denotes high quality, and a value of 1 denotes medium quality.
