资源简介:
This is a multi-country web survey dataset on disgust sensitivity and COVID-19–related social attitudes collected annually from 2020 to 2025 in Japan, China, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The first surveys were conducted in March–April 2020, shortly after the global spread of COVID-19, and were repeated once a year, with the final sixth survey in February 2025, around two years after the World Health Organization declared the end of COVID-19 as a global public health emergency. The dataset includes harmonized raw response data (country-specific long-format files and wave-specific files), multilingual questionnaires, and Excel codebooks. Core measures cover behavioral immune system–related constructs (disgust sensitivity, perceived vulnerability to disease, cleanness/impurity orientation), exclusionary attitudes toward out-groups (e.g., attitudes toward foreign tourists and foreign workers, neighborhood exclusion items), praise for one’s own country and support for human-rights restrictions in emergencies, belief in just deserts for infected individuals, Big Five personality traits, general trust, social caution, and basic demographics. These data enable cross-sectional and repeated cross-sectional analyses of temporal change and cross-country differences during and after the COVID-19 pandemic and can be reused for cross-cultural comparisons, multilevel modeling, and scale validation.
